Penny McNamee has played the role of Dr. Tori Morgan on Home and Away since 2016.

And now it appears her son Jack, five, may be following in his mother’s creative footsteps.

Posting to her Instagram on Tuesday, the 38-year-old shared three photographs of her son on set in Summer Bay.

‘My sweet Jack. Directing me at home… and at work #schoolholidays,’ she playfully captioned the sweet pictures.

In one photo, the two share a sweet mother-son moment as they are seen smiling from ear-to-ear while looking into each other’s eyes.

Although the actress has been a fan-favorite for five years, she almost quit in 2019 after welcoming Jack’s younger sister, Neve.

In 2019, she told TV Week: ‘I don’t think I felt ready [to go back]… I really enjoyed my six months’ maternity leave and would have probably happily done it for another six.’

Penny decided to stay because she ‘really didn’t want to let down’ the creative team and also ‘didn’t want to lose the opportunity’ she had been given.

Elsewhere in her TV Week interview, Penny revealed it can be difficult raising her two children, while spending long hours at work.

‘I don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep up the juggle of such a demanding job and having two young children,’ she admitted.

Penny shares Neve, now two, and Jack with her high school sweetheart and husband, Matt Tooker.
