While there’s no shortage of drama during Married At First Sight’s eagerly anticipated dinner parties, things aren’t always what they seem behind the scenes.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that plenty of strategic planning by the show’s producers made sure Sunday night’s finale made good TV.
The participants were given one 30-minute break throughout the whole shoot at 10.30pm, leaving very little time for the brides and grooms to eat some food and get their makeup touched up.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes photos show the cast making the most of their short break before they returned to the couch.
Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, Russell Duance and Samuel Carraro were seen racing to the snack area, where pizzas and several nibbles were on offer.
Despite appearing to have no friends on-screen, controversial couple Bryce and Melissa were spotted catching up with co-stars James Susler and Johnny Balbuziente.

Meanwhile, Jake Edwards and his onscreen wife Rebecca Zemek were spotted having chat on the other side of the room amid filming Beck’s cheating scandal.
Beck, 27, was then seen making her way over over to the snack area where she picked up several bags of nuts.

Jake, 33, was spotted chatting to Jason Engler before fellow groom Brett Helling walked over to give Jason a hug.

Although it may seem like they only last a couple of hours, the show’s emotionally charged reunion was shot over 13 hours.
The show’s participants arrived at 3pm with their makeup and hair fully styled, before shooting around 6pm.
Most of the brides and grooms were kept in separate areas at The Grounds of Alexandria to save any talk, drama or resolutions for the cameras.
The show’s producers sat in an off-set location and watched the events play out on monitors, similarly to the show’s ‘love experts’.
There was little reshoots during the reunion, with everything playing out onscreen as it originally happened.
