Zac Efron is ‘pulling strings’ to get girlfriend Vanessa Valladares cast on Netflix’s Byron Baes

Netflix recently announced one of the most highly-anticipated shows of the year – ‘docu-soap series’ Byron Baes.

And apparently Hollywood local Zac Efron, 33, is keen to see his model girlfriend, 25, appear on the influencer-themed reality series.

According to Woman’s Day, the American actor is ‘determined to make Vanessa Valladares a star’ on the upcoming show.

An insider source claimed the 17 Again star might be using his contracts at the streaming giant to ‘pull strings’ ahead of the exciting production.

While there is no confirmation of Vanessa being considered for the show, it seems two cast-members have been leaked.

According to Emerald City, former Love Island star Elias Chigros and plus-size model Jessica Vander Leahy are set to star on the upcoming show.

Strapping Elias was a breakout star on Love Island Australia back in 2018, but failed to find romance on the show.

The reality star’s incredible physique and handsome face has seen him gain a whopping 120,000 followers on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Jessica is a curvaceous model who is known for sharing fitness tips and inspirational quotes on her Instagram for her 90,000 followers.

A number of names have been thrown around about who will star in the series including Elyse Knowles.

However, the former Block star shut down talk of her appearing on the TV show this month, telling fans said she’s completely focussed on motherhood at the moment.

‘Just putting it out there, I am not on Byron Baes, no, no, no… I’m not,’ Elyse said in a video of herself while at the beach with her newborn.

‘Goodbye Byron, you are officially cooked. How embarrassing,’ she added.

Byron Baes will run for eight episodes in total.

A press release for the program describes Byron Baes as a ‘docu-soap series’.

‘This is our love letter to Byron Bay,’ it states.

‘It’s not just Chris [Hemsworth] and Zac [Efron]’s backyard; it’s the playground of more celebrity-adjacent influencers than you can poke a selfie-stick at.’

There will be ‘fights, flings and heartbreak’ on offer, too.
