On Monday’s episode of Married At First Sight Australia, Bryce Ruthven and bride Melissa Rawson decided to stay together at the final commitment ceremony. 

While the pair, both 31, said they had found their ‘fairytale’ ending in one another, viewers watching at home were not convinced. 

Many expressed their disappointment that Melissa chose to stay with Bryce despite their ups and downs, and claims he was ‘gaslighting’ towards his bride.

One person Tweeted: ‘Disappointed, but not surprised’ while another added: ‘Melissa is deluded’. 

Another perturbed viewer wrote: ‘The only future I see is one without Bryce on my TV thanks’. 

Someone else watching at home Tweeted dramatically: ‘Is anyone else screaming at the TV?’

Yet another added: ‘I have officially lost any respect I had for Melissa, coward’ while one more chimed in: ‘Melissa is a complete mug’.    

One fan of the show declared: ‘I actually feel sick right now’ while someone else wrote: ‘She was never going to dump him.’ 

The comments come after the couple pledged to stay together despite the ups and downs their relationship has experienced throughout the experiment.

‘I have never met someone who instantly puts a smile on my face like when I see you enter a room,’ Bryce said, staring into Melissa’s eyes. 

‘From the moment I first met you, you’ve been nothing but loyal, understanding and stood by me through the good and the bad times. 

‘Melissa, I have fallen in love with you. And I can’t wait to start a life together,’ he concluded.

‘I can absolutely say with certainty that I’m in love with you. Our relationship and you are truly worth fighting for.’ 

After their final vows, Bryce said, ‘I’m so glad I decided to come on the experiment, with everything that’s happened. I’ve got what I came here for.’
