Dolly Parton’s new Strawberry Pretzel Pie had debuted to big demand, with some eBay sellers seeking to capitalize on the frenzy for the product by charging $1,000 for a pint.

Parton, 75, has collaborated on the dessert with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams to benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The nonprofit describes itself as a ‘book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.’

The treat named is dubbed Jeni’s ‘ode to the Queen of Country: sweet and salty, with timeless appeal, deep American roots, and makes you feel darn good,’ the company said.

‘It’s a throwback to the triple decker pie from the potlucks of our youths. Layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce.’

The ice cream went on sale Wednesday and quickly sold out via digital and Jeni’s locations, with some of the buyers taking to the secondary market to turn a quick profit on the popular product.

Jeni’s gave an update on the availability saying it was still not able to meet demand but ‘have been working around the clock’ to get the product back for sale.

‘We aren’t there yet,’ the company said. ‘As promised, we’ll give 48-hour notice via email and social media before we release the flavor, but we wanted to let you know that it won’t be this weekend. Thank you, again, for your patience!’

The iconic singer-songwriter launched the nonprofit in 1995, and had past the one million books sent mark in 2003.
