Lauren Graham told Ellen DeGeneres that the home she shares with longtime boyfriend Peter Krause was a ‘little different’ when she returned from a five month shoot for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.

The actress, 54, made an appearance Thursday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she told Ellen that she wasn’t able to make trips back to her house in Los Angeles during filming in Vancouver because of COVID restrictions, resulting in the couple being separated for five months.

‘There were more piles, I would say, and he and his son [Roman] had really bonded which was really fantastic but I would say the re-entry was more difficult,’ the Gilmore Girls star said.

‘It was more like they were the married couple and I was the person who was – they were like, we don’t do it that way anymore in the kitchen or wherever. They were like, no no no, this is how things happen,’ she said.

Lauren and Peter, 55, met when they both co-starred in Caroline in the City in 1995 and began dating in 2010 while working together on Parenthood. The couple do not have any children together. Roman, who was born in 2001, is the Six Foot Under actor’s son from a previous relationship.

Along with becoming accustomed to the changes in their home life, the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress joked about coming to accept Peter’s ‘COVID Corner.’

‘Peter started a thing to make COVID life more fun where he’d go to the store and stock up on ridiculous amounts of whatever and leave it in the corner of the living room and call it  ‘COVID Corner.’ Lauren explained. ‘As if that somehow made these piles of stuff fun or like a place to visit or a place to show the guests, even if no one is coming over.

‘But he’d be like, hey guys, have you seen Covid Corner?’ She continued with a laugh. ‘I was like, hon, it’s not an amusement park. It’s not a thing to show but I felt like I had to respect COVID corner because these times are tough and everyone just dealt with it in their own way. So if you need club soda or paper towels, come on over to COVID Corner.’

Lauren also revealed that her rescue pup Mochi is living her best life on a farm now with a new furry companion. Mochi was spending time recovering from multiple surgeries on a farm outside Vancouver when she ‘fell in love with another woman.’

‘Your dog is a lesbian living on a farm?’ Ellen asked.

Lauren answered, ‘I mean, aren’t the best dogs doing that?’ To which Ellen replied, ‘And the best lesbians.’
