Actor Dan Macpherson is counting down the days until he is reunited with his one-year-old son Austin Xavier.
The former Neighbours star, 40, is completing a mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine in Sydney after returning from Spain.
On Thursday, Dan shared a cute throwback photo with Austin, writing: ‘Not long now til crisp autumn mornings & surf checks with the Little King. Day 8.’

Just a few days earlier Dan had said he was using the forced isolation to ‘decompress, unwind the beaten body and chill the whirling mind’, adding he was most excited for ‘family hugs and ocean swims on the other side’.
Dan had been in Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, for almost weight weeks to film Apple TV’s new science fiction series, Foundation.
Based on the book series of the same name by Isaac Asimov, Dan is set to play Hugo.

Production for the upcoming American series has also seen Dan fly to Ireland twice, which means he is completing his third round of hotel quarantine since the coronavirus pandemic began.
‘That’s a wrap on Foundation for me. A final Fuerteventura sunset. What an adventure it’s been,’ he wrote on March 30.
Dan added: ‘Time to get home and hug my son, and one day soon he will get to see his dad up there in space, in the sci fi world of Isaac Asimov. What a ride.’

The Strike Back actor happily co-parents son Austin Xavier with ex-wife Zoë Ventoura, 39.
Dan confirmed his shock split from Zoë on December 13, after five years of marriage.
The couple first met on the set of TV series Wild Boys in 2011, and became engaged over Christmas 2014.
They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Noosa, Queensland, in 2015 in front of close friends and family. They welcomed Austin Xavier in December 2019.
