Oprah Winfrey will pay tribute to the iconic Tina Turner at Clive Davis’ second Grammy party

Clive Davis was forced to postpone his second Grammy party after being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy in February, but it should be worth the wait with Oprah Winfrey set to honor Tina Turner at the bash.

The 67-year-old media mogul pre-taped her interview with Davis on Monday for the virtual soirée, which will take place in May, according to the New York Post

It is unclear if Turner herself, 81, who was featured in the HBO documentary Tina last month, will put in a virtual appearance at the party at this time.

Davis announced in January that he was hosting two virtual Grammy parties this year, instead of one in-person event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first event took place at the end of January, featuring a curated selection of some of Davis’ favorite musical performances, including Janis Joplin at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, Whitney Houston’s 10-minute medley at the 1994 American Music Awards and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performing “Empire State of Mind” from Times Square in 2016.

John Legend, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Hudson each performed during the bash, while Davis also interviewed Bruce Springsteen, Diddy, Alicia Keys, Barry Gibb, Chance the Rapper, David Foster, Gladys Knight, and Carole King.

The second party was originally slated for March 13, just a day before the Grammys ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

While a specific date hasn’t been given for the rescheduled virtual party, sources said it would happen sometime in May.

‘He is in good spirits and looks forward to doing the second half of his pre-Grammy gala in May,’ a source close to Davis said.
