Kyle Sandilands reveals the REAL reason he split with Imogen Anthony

Kyle Sandilands split with his longtime girlfriend Imogen Anthony back in late 2019, after eight years together.

Now the shock jock, 49, has revealed that the age gap between himself and Imogen, 30, played a part in their split.

In an interview on the No Filter podcast, Kyle said: ‘She went from a young girl into a woman.’ 

Host Mia Freedman interjected: ‘They’re very formative years, that 20 to 25.’

‘You’re right,’ Kyle responded. ‘She went on a similar path, it’s not as if we couldn’t get on. It’s just I was going into my twilight years and she was just becoming a woman.

‘It was just one of those things that it was fun while it lasted and it was great, we enjoyed a lot of things about each other, but some of these things they come to an end sometimes.’

The KIIS FM host also revealed that it’s important for him to make sure that his former partners are taken care of financially. 

‘I want to make sure they’re okay mentally, physically, financially, and they deserve it, too,’ he explained.

‘Ex-wives, my other ex partners, they’re able to be, and they should be, looked after and treated with respect.’ 

Kyle was previously married to pop singer Tamara Jaber. The former couple tied the knot in 2008 before calling it quits two years later.

He then met aspiring model Imogen in 2011 at his 40th birthday bash, when she was just 21.

The pair had publicly discussed plans to marry and possibly even have children one day, only to split in 2019. 

Kyle is now dating Tegan Kynaston, 34, the communications director of his company King Kyle Pty Ltd and his former personal assistant.
