After more than a year off air amid a global pandemic, production is set to begin on season 19 of Project Runway.  

Bravo announced that the hit competition series will begin filming in New York City this spring, with Christian Siriano, Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell and Elaine Welteroth all set to return.

New mom Karlie Kloss, who has been hosting the show since 2019, will be making guest appearances in a ‘reimagining’ of the host role, a source told Variety.

The season finale of season 18 aired on March 13, 2020, just days after the global pandemic was officially declared.

Geoffrey Mac was named the winner of season 18, beating out runner-ups Victoria Cocieru, Sergio Guadarrama, and Nancy Volpe-Beringer.

Season 18 also saw contestant Tyler Neasloney make a cringe-worthy comment to Karlie about her husband’s family. 

The contestants were tasked with creating a look Karlie would wear to a CFDA event in Paris, using only donated clothing from a Goodwill store.

However, when judges said they could not see Karlie wearing Tyler’s creation, the designer hit back, ‘Not even to dinner with the Kushners?’
