A single Australian woman has slammed online haters for trying to body shame her and shared a ‘chubby, gap tooth, re-growth’ picture of herself in a bikini on the beach to prove her confidence.
Alita Brydon, 36, has worked hard to learn how to love her body – she thinks she looks amazing and her legion of fans agree.
The Melbourne woman runs a Facebook Page where people can anonymously share details of their bad dates, seek advice and feel like part of a community as they search for love.

Her aim is to empower single men and women, helping them build confidence and self love – putting her at odds with the online bullies.
Alita recently posted a picture of herself standing on a beach in a bikini after some trolls slammed her over her weight, teeth and hair.
‘Confidence isn’t an act. I reckon I look fantastic. Allow me to bless the internet with another chubby, gap tooth, re-growth hair image of myself,’ she posted.
She went on to say there will always be people who try to tear others down based on their appearance to try to force them to give up their voices.
But the woman is determine to remain confident and to continue to inspire women to be strong whether they are single or not.

And the post was met with overwhelming support, more than 1200 people leaving comments and another 10,000 ‘liking’ the post within hours of it being posted on Tuesday night.
‘Yay, more of this,’ one woman commented on the powerful post.
‘I love confident people who acknowledge and accept their flaws, I personally find it attractive,’ another woman said.
‘You are beautiful and have inspired me to feel comfortable in my own skin – and to rock a bikini! Wobbly bits and all. Not my problem if people can’t handle all this awesomeness,’ said another woman.
Others begged the social media star, who has over 150,000 followers, to never change.
She is determine to remain confident and to continue to inspire women to be strong whether they are single or not.
‘One day people will wake up to the idea that the ideal body is an unattainable sham sold to us by the beauty industry and that if we’d been told for countless years that having cellulite was hot, we’d all be trying to attain that ideal,’ another woman said.
Others praised Alita for running a page which empowers daters to feel good about themselves and ‘letting everyone know you don’t need to be able to rock a size-8 bikini’ to be beautiful.
And it wasn’t just women supporting the brave post.
‘You look exactly like you’re meant to. Which makes you perfect. It makes us all perfect,’ one man said.
‘So glad you posted this. The number of people you are touching in a positive way is all that matters,’ said another man.
Alita has previously revealed her longest relationship, the one she has with her ‘beloved rig’, is one she often keeps private.
‘There were moments in my dating life where I felt my body was holding me back. I’ve never been a slim woman. Now, I can see it is my biggest ally in dating and in life,’ she said in a post last month.
She listed her attributes as having delightful nugget chub, sexy softness, a cute belly and sturdiness.

She also said she loves they way her body looks because ‘it is the body of someone who enjoys life’.
‘There are lots of dudes who aren’t into what I’ve got. That’s ok. I need a man who will honk for chonk. I’m done with the days when I felt my body was holding me back from romantic success,’ she said.
Some people did continue to body-shame the 36-year-old but she simply posted a selfie pulling a face.
‘To the six people who were so upset by my body they had to leave salty comments, here’s another for you. Does this suit your body standards?’ she said on the photo.
