After bursting on the scene via TikTok, Addison admitted to the popular trio of morning radio hosts that her career has forced her to put relationships on the back burner.

‘Right now is my time to focus on me and I’ve kind of really just taken control of that and realize that, you know, you can only get presented opportunities for so long and then they kind of go away,’ She said.

‘I think my entire life I’ve kind of always looked up to love. I’m a hopeless romantic, if you will. But I do know that maybe now’s my time to be hopelessly in love with myself and that’s kind of what I’ve been trying to do, which has been an interesting thing,’ she added. ‘Cause like, I mean, I do love a good relationship.’

Rae is set to star in the upcoming Netflix teen rom-com He’s All That, the sequel to the Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook 1999 flick She’s All That.

She told The Morning Mash Up hosts Nicole Ryan, Ryan Sampson and Stanley T that she’s ‘so, so, so excited’ about the film.

‘I’m very, very excited. It was a project that I, you know, felt really, really good about, especially, you know, going into it,’ she gushed. ‘And now that it’s over, it feels better than ever. So I’m really happy.’

Rae, who was born a year after the original She’s All That premiered, knew about the film because her mom had been a fan.

‘My mom used to love the movie, so I’d seen it definitely more than once before I auditioned. And then also did my homework throughout,’ she explained.

Meanwhile, Addison is also focusing on her music career with her latest track Obsession. In her own life, the young rising star revealed that her first obsession was none other than Justin Bieber.

‘I definitely was obsessed with Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber, and like The Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana,’ she laughed. ‘Those were like my top three. And my mom brought me to all of their concerts when I was little. So I was obsessed.’

These days, Addison is swimming in the same celebrity circles as the likes of The Biebs and Miley Cyrus. She’s particularly close with the Kardashian family and has cemented herself as Kourtney Kardashian’s bff dujour.

Kourtney’s son Mason Disick confirmed his mom and Rae share a bedroom during sleepovers in a new trailer for Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

After the 41-year-old reality star’s younger sister Kim asks her nephew, 11, specifically where the TikTok star, 20, sleeps when she stays over at their six-bedroom, 12,000-square-foot Calabasas mansion home, Mason answers: ‘My mom’s.’

Kim, 40, seemed surprised by his reply and noted during a confessional, later, that ‘Kourtney’s not really like this with her other girlfriends.’

The inseparable pair, who were introduced by their mutual friend David Dobrik last March, became fast friends, despite their 21-year age gap.

Addison found herself at the center of controversy recently following an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon after they performed popular TikTok dances but failed to credit the Black creators behind the routines.

‘The fact they have no idea how offensive this is, is sickening. This is systemic racism at its finest. This white women is benefiting from a broken system & was highlighted on national TV, while the choreographers & actual artists that made the songs weren’t even mentioned smh,’ tweeted @WhosTYE.

Rae addressed the backlash in an interview with TMZ, explaining it would have been difficult to name the choreographers during the show but still had ‘support’ for them.

‘It’s kind of hard to credit during the show, but they all know I love them so much, and I support all of them so much. And hopefully one day we can meet up and dance together,’ she told the site.

The Morning Mash Up’s interview with Addison Rae airs Thursday, April 8 on SiriusXM Hits 1.
