This is the shocking moment a solid block of ice plummeted from a rooftop and smashed on to a car below with two people inside.
The CCTV footage, which was recorded in Murmansk, Russia, showed one family’s narrow escape after the frozen boulder shattered their windscreen.
Both the passenger and driver hastily jumped out of the vehicle without applying the handbrake.
The car then began to roll away as the driver battled to get it back under control.
It is not thought that anyone suffered any serious injuries during the bizarre incident.

In the clip, filmed on March 29, the black hatchback can be seen parked outside a building among banks of muddy snow.
A young man emerges into shot as he steadily makes his way round to the passenger seat and hops inside.
But before he has a chance to close the door a block of solid ice plummets from the roof of the building and on to the car windscreen.
The screen smashes and both the passenger and driver quickly clamber out.
The bewildered young man takes a few steps back and looks up toward the roof but the driver appears to have forgotten to apply the handbrake.

The pair hastily jumped out of the vehicle without applying the handbrake before the driver then battled to get the vehicle back under control
She battles to get the vehicle under control as it rolls toward the road and out of shot.
A second car travelling past then comes to a stop and the male driver gets out to see if he can be of assistance.
The woman briefly re-appears on camera as she grabs the young man’s face to see if he is okay.
Murmansk is one of the coldest regions in Russia and often experiences heavy snowfall.
