MAFS Melissa Rawson breaks silence on Bryce Ruthven’s ‘secret girlfriend’

Married At First Sight’s Melissa Rawson is sticking by her groom Bryce Ruthven amid a new ‘secret girlfriend’ bombshell. 

Melissa, 31, told TV Week magazine on Monday that she had questioned Bryce’s friends about it – who assured her off-camera it was not the truth.

‘I was confused by what Samantha [Harvey] said,’ Melissa told the publication, referring to the 31-year-old’s upcoming comments at a girls’ night.  

Added Melissa: ‘[She] rocked up with this information and it just felt really off.’ 

Melissa said while the chat with Bryce’s friends and Samantha made her understandably unsettled, she remained committed to him. 

‘I was hurt, because all I’d been doing was defending Bryce and our relationship. I felt like no one wanted us to succeed,’ she confessed.      

So far on the Channel Nine program, Bryce has emphatically denied accusations he was secretly dating a woman outside of the experiment. 

But fellow bride Samantha is set to make bombshell allegations at the girls’ night. 

Samantha said that after she left the show and returned to Canberra, she began hearing whispers about Bryce’s love life.

She claimed she was told that Bryce was only appearing on the show to help further his radio career. 

Samantha exposed Bryce’s secret during a girls’ night with the show’s other brides ahead of the reunion. 

Meanwhile, Big Brother star Jason Roses recently made similar claims about Bryce’s ‘secret romance’, telling The Anj, Rob & Robbo Show last month that he was to blame for exposing the affair to producers.

‘I was talking to someone off-camera, so I thought the camera wasn’t recording me. And I might have said something that is going to cause big, big [drama],’ he said.

Jason explained that Bryce will deny the rumours until the reunion episode, when producers will play back Jason’s statements.  

‘What I said was now shown to the entire cast of Married At First Sight. It was at the reunion, and they’ve basically said, “Bryce, if you think you’re telling the truth, this is what your friend had to say in secret,”‘ he revealed.
