Kate Garraway has revealed her two children are ‘as good as can be’ while their father Derek Draper remains hospitalised with COVID-19.

The presenter, 53, offered an update on her family’s wellbeing during Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, after being praised for her moving ITV documentary.

It comes after Kate marked her ‘hard’ second Easter without Derek at home as he reached his 13th month in hospital after battling coronavirus, but told fans she’s grateful he’s ‘still here’ after a lengthy battle with the disease.

During an interview to promote the new series of his Running Wild show, Bear revealed he’d just watched Kate’s moving programme, Finding Derek, which offered a glimpse into her life while Derek remained hospitalised.

As Bear asked about how the family was doing amid Derek’s Covid battle she said: ‘All good, as good as can be.’
