Chris Pratt shares group photo from his series The Terminal List, including Patrick Schwarzenegger

Chris Pratt has been hard at work shooting the upcoming thriller-drama series The Terminal List, in which he plays a Navy Seal.

And on Monday the leading man took to Instagram to share a group photo as he stood alongside many of his co-stars, some of whom are actual Navy Seals, decked out in their military gear.

Pratt’s brother-in-law, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is among the actors seen in the snap showing the men huddled together.

Pratt, 41, can be seen standing in the middle of the men with a helmet on as he holds on to his high-powered weapon.

Schwarzenegger, 27, is standing next to his brother-in-law, to his right, on the left side of the screen.

Always one to be as classy as he can, Pratt shared some words of wisdom as a way to show his respect for our real military members, especially the Seals in the Amazon Prime series.

‘Our world balances between light and dark. And though it feels precarious, it was created that way. We are called, each of us, to be of some service- to be light. Few answer the call. And fewer yet to the degree of the Warfare Special Operator.’ Pratt wrote in the caption.

He went on to share how it has been his ‘great honor to work alongside men in this photo’ and that many of them are ‘actual Navy Seals.’

‘As far as men go, it is my opinion there are none equal to the SEAL,’ he added in another nod of respect.

‘I’m trying my hardest to portray James Reece in a believable way. With enough smoke and mirrors and technical advice from the men who’ve lived it, we’ll fake it just enough to tell the incredible story.’

In recognition of playing a military man, Pratt also shared what he called — a Colonel Caldwell excerpt: Once An Eagle by Anton Myrer.

‘We do everything in our power to proclaim our good intentions, our nobility of purpose, our loftiness of soul… and all because we think we’re too good for the rest of the world. We can’t be bothered with the sordid details of human motivation. We stubbornly, sublimely refuse to see man as he is. We are so damn certain about how he “ought” to be…, the excerpt began.

It continued: ‘We know what man is, all right, but we insist on overlying that knowledge with a mass of sticky sentimentality… we know, but we avert our eyes. It’s so much more fun to prate of a man as a noble creature, a semidivine being bursting with goodness and mercy and all kinds of generous thoughts. It takes our minds off of ourselves. Well, he isn’t a noble creature, as well we know by now. He’s a remarkably clever animal whose talents have outstripped his powers of reason. His deepest instincts seem to be greed and vanity and self interest.’

Along with the real Seals, Pratt and Schwarzenegger, the series also stars Taylor Kitsch, Constance Wu, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Riley Keough.

Based on a novel of the same name by Jack Carr, the show follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy Seals is ambushed in a covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. As new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.

The Terminal List marks Pratt’s return to the small screen for the first time since his breakthrough role on TV’s Parks And Recreation (2009-2015, 2020).
