Justin Bieber’s disgraced former pastor Carl Lentz enjoys Easter Sunday at the beach in Santa Monica with his wife and friends
Justin Bieber has credited former Hillsong Church NYC pastor Carl Lentz with helping him through some of his ‘darkest’ times before he and his wife were fired last November amid controversy.
Now, some five months later, the couple decided to head out and enjoy the Easter holiday on the beach in Santa Monica with some friends.
The pair were seen frolicking on the sand and lounging back on some beach chairs situated near where the ocean waves crashed into shore.

With the sun glaring down, the Virginia native opted to wear shorts with a cropped plaid shirt.
He also donned a blue baseball cap and went shoeless during most of his time relaxing on the sand.
His wife Laura Lentz wore light blue jeans with a white t-shirt and dark sunglasses.
They traded off their time between moving about on the sand chatting with their mates, with moments where they laid back on lounge chairs set up on the beach.

Lentz later revealed on his Instagram page that he was unfaithful to his wife and he was held accountable for that action.

Though Bieber’s relationship with Lentz was close and very public, the pair appeared to have distanced themselves prior to the cleric’s ouster from the megachurch.
The pop superstar, 27, has since expressed interested in taking a leadership role at Hillsong Church as a minister, according to OK! Magazine.
‘[He] doesn’t plan to give up his music career, but he feels there’s a bigger calling out there for him. He wants to be a full-fledged minister next year,’ a source said.

Many Bieber fans will likely remember back in the summer of 2017, when the singer abruptly canceled the remainder of a concert tour after 16 months on the road.
While Bieber cited ‘fatigue’ as the main issue, TMZ reported that he had ‘rededicated his life to Christ’, thanks to Lentz, after suffering from mental health issues.
