Meet the ‘humble, straight shooting’ basketball player set to appear as a housemate on the new season of Big Brother… as the hit reality show’s highly anticipated premiere nears


Big Brother has officially revealed its ninth housemate set to appear on the upcoming season of the hit reality show.

On Monday, Marley Biyendolo was unveiled as the latest contestant to be entering the famed Big Brother house in Sydney.

Described as a ‘humble soul’ and ‘straight shooter’, Marley is a 25-year-old basketball player and disability support worker from Melbourne.

In a teaser trailer on Monday, Marley revealed he had played basketball at New York City’s Madison Square Garden ‘in front of 16,000 fans’.

He called it ‘the most amazing experience’, and said he also loves ‘hanging out with my family’.

‘My biggest motivation would definitely be my Mum. She unfortunately passed,’ he said solemnly.

'I've been through some tough situations, but I keep getting back up. I'll do anything to get to the end,' he said

He added: ‘Mum gave me one thing to do, and that was to look after Dad.’ 

Marley was then seen pulling up to the Big Brother set, and it was clearly more than he’d anticipated, as he laughed and called the experience ‘crazy’.

‘This amount of money, that’s a lot for Dad. It could help so much,’ he confessed.

Talking about his late mother, Marley revealed he used to watch Big Brother with her when he was younger.

‘I can hear her voice in my head telling me to go for it and win this whole thing,’ he revealed. 

Marley added: ‘I’ve been through some tough situations, but I keep getting back up. I’ll do anything to get to the end.’
