She’s been keeping a low profile over the past few months, after welcoming her second child with fiancé Marius Jenson in January.

Joined by her husband-to-be, the former EastEnders star, 37, looked relaxed and happy as she stepped out for their family walk to the park carrying a warm beverage.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, Kara said that her new baby ‘is an incredibly cool little man. He is very zen, he has a calming effect.’

The actress, who had planned to tie the knot with Norwegian Marius last year, added that the tot is ‘so chilled and wonderful.’

Meanwhile, Marius, who Kara went public with in 2017, explained that the name Helly is inspired by his native country Norway, adding that his son also has the middle names Juel and Parsell.

Speaking further about the inspiration for the name, he explained: ‘The first Helly we found was an old Norwegian sea captain, from a place in Norway called Moss, a tiny little town where my grandmother is from.’

He went on to say that after they looked Helly up, they discovered that Helly was a ‘big bearded guy’ like himself, adding it was then the name ‘fell into place’.

Kara gave birth to Helly via elective Caesarean following a four-day ordeal when welcoming eldest son Frey, which lead to an emergency C-section.

Discussing her recent experience at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, the Mr. Selfridge star described it as ‘strange’ as the hospital seemed ‘almost deserted.’

She added: ‘But we were both so aware that on the other side of the hospital it must have been pandemonium. It is amazing what they are all doing right now.’

Kara confirmed back in October that she was six months pregnant with a baby boy, almost two years after she and partner Marius welcomed son Frey.

She said that she had really wanted a sibling for Frey and told the publication: ‘if it happens, it happens, let’s go with the flow. And it happened quicker than expected.

The actress had been due to star in a stage production of Steel Magnolias before COVID-19 restrictions prevented it going ahead.

Kara and Marius had wished to tie the knot last year on a lawn by a beautiful fjord where his grandfather grew up.

However, their special day has been put on pause for the time being due to the pandemic and national lockdown.

The actress: ‘It keeps getting put on hold. But I like to do things when I’m in a place to enjoy it, so if you can’t do that now, then why rush?

‘It will be much nicer to get married in a celebratory way when we can enjoy it with family.’

Kara, who has a close relationship with her sister, actress Hannah Tointon, told how she is looking forward to seeing the bond her two sons will develop.
