A mother has shared her recipe for the simple shower solution that left her bathroom sparkling in under an hour.

The Australian woman, called Ashleigh, posted on Facebook, where she revealed she has been ‘trying to clean the glass for years with different products and scrubbers’.

But when nothing worked, she decided to try mixing her own solution after spotting a tip on Facebook.

‘What worked in the end? Vinegar and washing up liquid in a spray bottle,’ she posted.

‘Just spray, leave for a bit and then wipe down with a dry microfibre cloth! 

‘I filled a spray bottle 3/4 full with straight white vinegar and added two squirts of dishwashing liquid.’  

The solution worked so well at cleaning the glass, the after image looks as though the shower door is open. 

How to use the miracle shower spray 

INGREDIENTS

Dishwashing liquid

Spray bottle 

Microfibre cloth 

METHOD 

1. Mix three quarters of a bottle of straight white vinegar with two squirts of diswashing liquid in a spray bottle.

2. Shake the bottle to combine the ingredients and spray onto the shower glass.

3. Leave the solution to absorb for one hour.

4. Wipe down with a microfibre cloth without using any water or rinsing.

‘I love this!’ another added.

Others said they have used their own version of this spray before at home on their shower, with incredible results.

‘Thanks to the lovely man at Auto One, I have found the best thing to get calcium off shower screens,’ she said.

The 355mL bottle is priced at $29.99 from Auto Barn and Julie said the product ‘is a godsend’. 

‘I’ve tried Fairy, BarKeepers Friend, Enjo calcium remover and CLR, nothing has bought my shower screens up like this stuff,’ she said.
