Hamilton has taken the world by storm with its modern telling of the life and times of American Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, by musical theatre star Lin Manuel Miranda.

And on Saturday, Timomatic, real name Tim Omaji, heaped praise on the diversity of the main cast. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the premiere of Hamilton in Sydney, the 33-year-old called the ensemble ‘incredible’.

‘It’s a long time coming for Australia,’ he said of the cast made up of people from a range of cultural backgrounds.

‘This show really is an indication of how far we’ve come and where we need to go in the future to accept people of colour in leading roles at the height of the entertainment industry,’ he added.

The main cast of Hamilton is made of up people of colour, with only one white actor playing King George.
