‘Never more to speak as you speak but never without your words. Grateful am I for seasons. Grateful I am for lessons. Grateful I am for challenges. Grateful I am. Blessed are the memories we share, you and I.

‘Your skin was my skin. Your heart IS my heart. Forever but no more, I loved you like no other. On this, our last day, I sit in immense gratitude that I told your story. Your story of love, betrayal, forgiveness, reflection, most importantly, of LOVE.

‘Never as close to another, but ready to love another, Mazikeen of the Lilim, we are one, you and I. For what was, what is and what is meant to be, THANK YOU….for all of it.’

‘Reflecting on the many faces, be it LA or Vancouver, what remains is we have been surrounded & supported by some of the most hardworking & talented individuals in our business, who’ve been on this crazy roller coaster of cancellations, a formidable fan base and renewals.

‘It then grew to include our Netflix family which fit like a glove when we moved over, finally to settle on a platform that expanded our world to include some 190 countries.

‘It starts on the page & ends with what you see on screen, but it takes an entire family to make it so. I can’t hug and thank you all individually but I’ll say this. Thank you for helping become her.

‘For working along side me, for showing up. I’ve made life long friendships. I’ve learned some incredible lessons. I’ve grown & I’m a better artist & actress for knowing you.’

Last year, TV Line claimed that Lucifer’s final outing will feature just ten episodes, six less than season five which has been split in two.

This means that the fan favourite ends with a grand total of 93 episodes, after Netflix originally saved the show after it was cancelled by Fox after three seasons.

The first half of season five shocked fans as it introduced Lucifer’s twin brother Michael, who revealed his intentions to take over his sibling’s life.

MailOnline contacted Netflix for comment at the time.

In June, the show’s Twitter account made the announcement the sixth season would be the show’s last, calling it the ‘FINAL final’ season, and joking: ‘The devil made us do it.’

Sharing a video of a burning ‘666’ the tweet joked ‘the devil made us do it, #Lucifer will return for a sixth and final season. like FINAL final.’

Title star Tom closed a deal to return in his role for a sixth season, Deadline reported last year.

Executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson and the rest of the cast also extended their contracts for the last season.

The news came nearly two months before the fifth season began to stream on Netflix in August, the fifth season was originally billed as the final season.

The season has been split into two halves, with each having eight episodes each, with the first half being released last month.

Netflix saved the show after Fox cancelled the dark thriller at the end of its third run.

In September Tom revealed he’s hoping to work on something ‘completely different’ when he bids farewell to Lucifer later this year.

He told Square Mile: ‘I am going to find myself in that similar territory in that people are going to expect one thing from me now.

‘And I would like to surprise them and do something completely different. That’s always been my thought process.’
