Little Mix ‘begin filming their first music video since Jesy Nelson’s departure – with the trio set to become MEN to perform their hit Confetti’

Little Mix has reportedly begun filming their first music video since Jesy Nelson quit the band for their hit single Confetti.

Sources claimed that Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock will be transformed into men for the video, and despite their excitement have found it ‘weird’ heading back to work without Jesy.

Filming for the video comes after it was revealed Jesy had signed a solo deal amid claims she left Little Mix to pursue her own career.

Back to work! Little Mix has reportedly begun filming their first music video since Jesy Nelson quit the band, with the trio set to be turned into men for the fun performance of the hit Confetti

According to The Sun, the video will see Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne sport facial prosthetics that will transform them into men, and have been working on the project at a secret location in London.

A source said: ‘They’re going all out and are having full facial prosthetics, which takes hours but it will be worth it in the end. It’s a video they have wanted to do for ages.

‘It’s weird not having Jesy with them, particularly as she sings the whole first verse on the album version, but they’re making it work for them because the song has real potential.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Little Mix for comment.

Gone: The group have returned to work after Jesy announced in December that she was leaving Little Mix

On Saturday Little Mix revealed they’d returned to the recording studio to begin working on new music in a fun Instagram video.

They were joined alongside songwriters Kamille and MNEK, who have both penned some of the band’s biggest hits.

‘Promise we made some bops too,’ the three members wrote alongside the fun clip.

The video was also shared by Leigh-Anne to her Instagram Stories, as she added: ‘Yano what it means when we get back in the studio with our queens @kamille @mnek and the legend that is @trejeanmarie.’

Little Mix released their sixth studio album Confetti last November, featuring the number one hit Sweet Melody.

It was their last record to feature founding member Jesy who announced her departure from the group in December after ‘constant pressure’ had ‘taken a toll on her mental health’.

It comes after Jesy signed a solo deal with global management firm YMU, amid reports she left the girlband’s record label to launch her own career.

In a statement from the management firm, Jesy said she was ‘so excited’ and couldn’t ‘wait to start her next chapter’.

YMU is a management company that has clients in sport, music and entertainment, including Take That, Steve Aoki, Ant & Dec and Fearne Cotton.

In a statement seen by Music Week, Jesy said: ‘I am so excited to join YMU and can’t wait to start my next chapter.’

Mary Bekhait, group CEO of YMU, said: ‘Jesy has enjoyed incredible success as a recording artist and performer and is well placed to further her remarkable career.

‘She is a hugely talented, versatile and authentic artist with a strong creative vision, and we are looking forward to helping her realise that.’

Jesy confirmed her permanent departure from Little Mix in December, and said in a statement that she decided to leave the band for the sake of her mental health.

Her exit came just weeks after revealing she was taking a temporary hiatus from all work commitments.
