English rapper Example cancels Perth concert due to Brisbane coronavirus outbreak

Musician Example has been forced to cancel his upcoming Perth concert on Sunday due to the Brisbane lockdown and Queensland border closure.

The English rapper, whose real name is Elliot Gleave, lives in the Queensland capital with his Australian model wife Erin McNaught and their two sons.

The 38-year-old won’t be able to travel due to the border closures between Queensland and Western Australia.

The news was announced by promoters Bar Pop on Tuesday via email to ticket holders.

‘We wish to advise that as a result of new border restrictions between Western Australia and Queensland, the Example show at Metro City this Sunday will no longer be proceeding,’ they wrote.

‘All ticket holders will be automatically refunded and no further action is required on your behalf.’ 

Erin and rapper Example, both 36, tied the knot in 2013 as part of a private wedding ceremony near Ballina in New South Wales.

The couple share two boys – six-year-old Evander Maxwell Gleave and three-year-old Ennio Stanley Gleave.

Back in January, the musician showed off his remarkable workout transformation during lockdown on Instagram. 

He looked worlds apart from his former self and was keen to show his followers the results of his hard work. 

Standing in front of a poster of his model wife, Erin McNaught, he joked in the caption: ‘Behind every strong man is a really massive poster of a fit woman.’ 

His followers were full of praise for his efforts and called him a ‘shredded beast.’ 

‘Didn’t even see you there! Erin is so distracting.’
