Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals the most frustrating thing about Sydney drivers

KIIS FM radio presenter Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed the one thing she can’t stand about Sydney drivers.

She said the most frustrating habit about some drivers is when they start looking at their phone in a parking spot once they’ve returned to their car.

Jackie admitted she often finds herself with her indicator on waiting for someone to vacate a spot in a busy area, only to realise the driver is glued to their device.

Pet hate: Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson says the most frustrating habit about some drivers is when they start looking at their phone in a parking spot once they’ve returned to their car

‘[I hate it] when a person is parked and it’s an area where everyone’s looking for a park and they get back to their car and they stare at their phone,’ she said on the That’s Enough Already with Urzila Carlso‪n‬ podcast.

‘And they don’t even have the self-awareness to know that someone’s waiting for you with their blinker on.

‘[They could] at least just say, “Hey, I’m not leaving yet. Go on”. But the amount of people that just sit there on their phone, that kills me!’

Jackie, 46, lives in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and drives a $100,000 Range Rover. The size of her vehicle likely makes parking in busy areas a stressful experience.

Her driving admission comes after Jackie was roasted on American radio last week after she revealed her ‘addiction’ to the iPhone puzzle game Candy Crush.

She had admitted on The Kyle and Jackie O Show a week earlier she spent about $90 a week on in-app purchases and even played the game while on the air.

After discovering her extraordinary habit, New York City radio duo Cooper Lawrence and Anthony Michaels blasted Jackie for playing Candy Crush at work while other radio hosts lose their jobs amid the Covid-19 recession.

‘I used to play Candy Crush a million years ago and I never spent a dime on it. But I couldn’t care less what she does with her money,’ Cooper said.

‘It’s the fact that she has a job in radio, she’s on the air live when thousands of people in our industry have lost their jobs.’

She continued: ‘If you’re on radio and you’re still working then you are very lucky, but this b***h is sitting there playing Candy Crush.’

Anthony agreed, adding: ‘If you can’t listen to you[rself] without playing Candy Crush then I can’t listen to you.

‘There should be a basket outside the studio and she can put her phone in it… You need to treat them like kids.’

However, Jackie didn’t seem bothered by the duo’s remarks.

She said on air last Tuesday: ‘I’m getting scolded in New York City about not being professional. It’s so embarrassing, but I don’t really care.’

Her co-host Kyle Sandilands added: ‘You’re being shamed worldwide but you won’t learn your lesson. It’s not a big enough lesson to learn.’

Jackie revealed last Wednesday her ‘addiction’ to Candy Crush was costing her $90 a week.

The puzzle game is free to play but charges users for optional in-app purchases.

Executive producer Sonia ‘Palestine’ Jahshan also said Jackie’s fixation with the game was driving the team ‘insane’ because she wasn’t paying attention to the show.

‘We’re trying to brief you on the segment or Pedro [Vitola, senior producer] is playing you grabs and you’re just not paying any attention,’ Palestine said.

‘Pedro and I have figured out what it was that you were doing, and it’s bloody Candy Crush! Instead of listening to us, you’re playing Candy Crush!’

An embarrassed Jackie confessed she was ‘such a loser’ for playing the game, then revealed how much she was spending weekly on in-app purchases.

‘I can’t help it. I’m so addicted to Candy Crush and I’m actually spending hard-earned money on the game,’ she said.

‘I reckon I’m spending $80 or $90 a week on it, because if you can’t get through to a level, they’ll block you out for a period of time, unless you pay to keep trying to get through to that level,’ she explained.
