A nutritionist has shared her go-to five-ingredient recipe for a chickpea pasta.

Jessica Sepel, from Sydney, revealed exactly how she makes her favourite ‘quick’ meal in just a matter of minutes.

To make the dish, you’ll need chickpea pasta, Napoletana sauce, ricotta, parmesan cheese and a handful of fresh basil leaves.

Jessica Sepel’s chickpea pasta 

INGREDIENTS 

· 125g chickpea pasta

· ½ cup Napoletana sauce

· Handful basil leaves

· 2 tbsp ricotta

· 1 tbsp grated parmesan

· ½ tsp chilli flakes, optional

· Extra virgin olive oil

METHOD 

Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions.

Drain and toss the pasta through the Napoletana sauce. 

Stir in the basil leaves and top with ricotta, grated parmesan, chilli flakes, if using and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. 

Season to taste and serve.

If spice is more your style, she suggested adding a sprinkle of chilli flakes over the top.

She said her go-to Napoletana sauce is from Raguletto, which cost just $1.80 per jar.

Her post has since been ‘liked’ more than 1,100 times, with many saying they couldn’t wait to try out the recipe at home.
