The timing has raised suspicions amongst cast members that Bethenny announced her engagement in order to shift attention away from the trailer, according to Page Six.

‘They’re all confused why she’s still obsessed with RHONY and would orchestrate her engagement news to come out the same time as the trailer for the show,’ a source told the site.

‘Bethenny is just being her petty self, but she can’t take away the cast’s happiness or how hard they worked this season during the coronavirus pandemic.’

Bethenny was one of the original RHONY cast members back when the show debuted in 2009.

She has left and returned to the show numerous times, with her most recent departure being in 2019.

As for the show’s current cast, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, Ramona Singer, Eboni K. Williams and Luann de Lesseps are all slated to return for the highly anticipated 13th season of the Real Housewives Of New York City.

A source also alleged to the outlet that the current cast ‘collectively feels like the show is so much better without [Frankel] and that she wouldn’t have been able to navigate the serious topics of this season.’

The trailer teased that all of the women will be delving into social justice issues, on top of their normal day-to-day drama.
