The parents of triplets born in April have revealed their identical trio of girls still haven’t met their grandparents as they marked the one year anniversary of lockdown.
Cherise and her husband Dave, who are both from South Africa but live in Walton-On-Thames in Surrey, told Lorraine Kelly they’re hoping to their daughters will be able to meet their grandparents in July, and that they Skype with their parents in Johannesburg ‘three times a day’.
The couple welcomed Harley, Chloe and Lacey on April 21, making them a family of seven with their two older sons, Sloane and Troy.
Despite being born in what they describe as ‘the weirdest year ever’ the couple added they were ‘so blessed’ and ‘couldn’t be happier’ with their three little bundles of joy.

‘The girls are so sweet, and keeping us busy really,’ Cherise told Lorraine on her eponymous ITV show this morning.
Adding they all have their own personalities, Cherise went on: ‘Harley is just so independent, she definitely comes back for cuddle now and the but she’s always just off doing her own thing.
‘Lacey is a little bit more laid back and she’s a thumb sucker so she’ll just have one toy and sit to the side.
‘And Chloe, she’s just a clown, but she’s also a fighter, she just savages her sisters, which the others don’t do at all, so it’s quite funny to see.

Speaking of her mother in South Africa she added:
‘We Skype everyday, three times a day, but she hasn’t been able to come out at all.
‘The December trip was cancelled as well, but we are hoping to get out there in July.
Speaking of their two sons, Dad Dave added: ‘Sloane, was like a third adults in the house. Troy, as well has really stepped up.

‘He’s just a little crazy clown in the family and keeps the girl really entertained with all his jokes and personality.
‘We just couldn’t be happier with our bundles of joy.
‘We ‘re desperate to share, share them with our friends and family, our communities and so good, helping us out with dropping out meals.
‘When we did the most they’re just in there for us and it’s just the support and whatnot. Yeah, we’re very blessed.

Dave, who works from home, added that he’s lucky his colleagues have been flexible with him while working from home, allowing him to get involved with caring for the triplets.
‘The gorgeous, positive side of lockdown is I’m at home and can help out. I can’t say enough for my boys because they’ve stepped up and done the job for me too. We’ve got so close over the last few months,’ he added.
‘I’m very fortunate right now, I’m juggling a new start-up but blessed that I have great colleagues and a wonderful family.
Lorriane also spoke to Suprina Dhillon and her family, who were celebrating their daughter Mila’s first birthday, after welcoming her on the first day of lockdown.
In a video diary after the triplets came home, Cherise revealed taking them for a walk was the first time she’d been outside the house, other than for hospital visits, in 11 weeks.
Her sons added that the three little sisters were ‘the best surprise ever’ and they love to help out with them.
Lorriane also spoke to Suprina Dhillon and her family, who were celebrating their daughter Mila’s first birthday, after welcoming her on the first day of lockdown.
Suprina and her husband Dav, from Worcestershire said she’d be celebrating with ‘cakes and balloons’ with their other two children Roman and Nico.
‘We have mixed emotions obviously, we’re extremely sad for the people who have suffered from Covid, but it’s been great that I’ve been home’.
