Following the ratings success of their latest TV endeavour – Channel 5’s 22 Kids and Counting – the family revealed they temporarily shutdown online sales to catch up an unprecedented amount of orders.

The four-part series sees Sue and Noel tackle life in lockdown with the 19 kids that are still living at home, and after the latest show debuted in February  pies ordered boomed.

WHO ARE THE RADFORD FAMILY?

Dubbed Britain’s largest family, the Radford family is made up of Sue and Noel Radford and their 22 children.

The couple met for the first time when Sue was seven, before going on to have their first child when Sue was 14 and Noel was 18.

They got married in 1993 when Sue turned 18, and went on to have nine children before Noel had a vasectomy – which he later had reversed.

Sadly Alfie, the couple’s 17th child, was stillborn on July 6th 2014.

Oldest siblings Chris, 31, and Sophie, 26, have moved out of the family home to start their own families.

Meanwhile, daughter Millie, 19, has now added to the brood with her daughter Ophelia, five months.

Taking to Facebook, the family wrote: ‘ For everyone enquiring about order[ing] pies online.

We have closed the website site for a few days just so we can try and catch up with the orders that came in after our program aired on Monday.

‘We had plenty of stock ready to go but we were inundated with orders.

‘We took the decision to close for a few days rather than you placing a order and having to wait a few weeks to receive your order.

‘We would like to thank you all for your continued support we very much appreciated it.’

However, their website is now back up and running and they appear to be taking orders again.

The family have owned the bakery since  1999, and has recently expanded to accept online orders made from around the UK.

Dad Noel runs the shop with Chloe, 25, and Daniel, 21, also helping out, while mum Sue stays at home to look after the younger kids.

Sue, Noel and children Chloe, 25, Jack, 23, Daniel, 21, Luke, 20, Millie, 19, Katie, 18, James, 17, Ellie, 15, Aimee, 14, Josh, 13, Max, 12, Tillie, 10, Oscar, nine, Casper, eight, Hallie, five, Phoebe, four, Archie, three, Bonnie, two, and 10-month-old Heidie all living under one roof.

Oldest children Chris, 31, and Sophie, 27, have moved out.

Elsewhere on the show The Radfords revealed their food bills skyrocketed during the Covid-19 pandemic because their 22 children are ‘constantly eating.’

On average, the family consumes 16 pints of milk and four loaves of bread a day, and 24 toilet rolls, three tubes of toothpaste and 80 yoghurts a week.

Sue told The Mirror: ‘Our food bill has nearly doubled as the children are constantly eating.’

They can often serve up 56 sausages for BBQs, while a Mexican will set them back 5kg of chicken, 1kg of cheese and four packets of tortilla wraps.
