Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: Bryce Ruthven’s secret friendship with Jake Edwards is revealed – despite his feud with Jake’s wife Beck Zemek
You wouldn’t know it from watching the show, but Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven and Jake Edwards became unlikely friends during filming last year.
The two men formed a close bond on set, and even went out together several times – despite Bryce, 31, being involved in an ongoing feud with Jake’s wife Beck Zemek.
Although their outings weren’t included in any storyline, a well-placed insider has revealed Jake, 32, and Bryce hung out several times during breaks from filming.

‘They caught up for beers and still message each other,’ the source said.
‘Their feud was all producer-driven for a television show. Beck and Jake were encouraged to stay in the experiment so there was another couple to challenge Bryce and Melissa [Rawson].’
In fact, Bryce and Jake’s unexpected friendship was well and truly established before Tuesday night’s ‘Poison Letters’ task as part of Feedback Week.

Bryce and his wife Melissa Rawson penned their thoughts about Jake and Beck’s turbulent marriage before challenging them to step into each other’s shoes.
Despite criticising the couple, Bryce discreetly showed his support for Jake on the show by wearing a T-shirt from his clothing brand Speak Clothing.
Earlier in the season, Cameron Dunne, who was paired with Coco Stedman, was also seen wearing a shirt from Jake’s collection.

Meanwhile, Jake has been spotted wearing a range of different Speak T-shirts, singlets and hats during his time on Nine’s social experiment.
He teamed up with professional boxer Adam Fenton to launch the brand in 2018. All profits are donated to charity every three months.
