MAFS’ Rebecca Zemek reveals the ‘red flags’ about Jake Edwards that didn’t make it to air

Rebecca Zemek’s attitude towards her husband Jake Edwards has seen her branded as the ‘bride from hell’ on this year’s season of Married At First Sight.

But on Tuesday, the Perth business manager, 27, revealed the ‘red flags’ about Jake’s behaviour that didn’t make it to air.

‘Jake is great but there is one quality that is a non-negotiable in any relationship that keeps happening,’ Rebecca told The Kyle and Jackie O show.

‘It really just did come down to where my values are and I just really didn’t enjoy or appreciate some of the things that were happening resulting in confrontation with me,’ she explained.

Radio host Kyle Sandilands then asked Rebecca: ‘Are you saying there may be legal reasons why we aren’t seeing this stuff?’

‘Potentially… I feel that,’ she replied.

Rebecca also claimed the real reason her mother Theresa laid into Jake on Monday night wasn’t aired.

During the MAFS episode, Theresa slammed Jake’s behaviour as ‘destructive’ over an awkward Zoom call.

‘That’s a big red flag for me, I’m sorry. I’m hearing you’re going out with the boys. Has that destructive behaviour continued?’ Theresa asked angrily.

Rebecca explained on Tuesday: ‘All is not what it seems… When my mum is talking about red flags, she isn’t talking about being objectified.’

‘That’s just how the conversation started and then we moved on to a commitment ceremony and she got to see an unedited version.’

‘And she was not impressed at all and I’m not either,’ she said.
