Mikey Pembroke’s ‘famous’ ex Katie Williams to appear on new season of Big Brother

It was previously revealed that the new season of Big Brother will feature a bevy of famous faces.

And ahead of the show’s return to Channel Seven, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Married At First Sight star Mikey Pembroke’s ‘famous’ ex-girlfriend Katie Williams will appear on the series.

Kate, 27, previously appeared as a contestant on the Channel Nine hit show Australian Ninja Warrior in 2017, so would be well-suited to Big Brother’s games. 

While she’s yet to be officially announced by the network, Katie has appeared in several teaser clips for the upcoming new series.

She previously made headlines in 2020 after it was revealed she was in a long-term relationship with Mikey before his appearance on the Channel Nine dating show.

When approached for comment by Daily Mail Australia about Katie’s appearance on Big Brother, he replied: ‘I wish her nothing but the best, good luck to her’ 

Mikey and Katie met when they were teenagers on set of a TV commercial in which they played brother and sister.

Recalling the fateful moment, he said: ‘I was like, “That chick’s pretty cool”.’

But it wasn’t until years later that Mikey finally mustered up the confidence to ask Katie out by sliding into her DMs on Instagram.

As reported by Daily Mail Australia, Katie will star alongside a slew of familiar famous including MTV presenter Lillian Ahenkan and magician Christopher Wayne.

‘Big Brother is going to throw us curve balls,’ she anticipates in the teaser. 

Katie lives by the motto ‘tough times don’t last, tough people do’ and is sure to bring her competitive nature to the house.
