Jesy Nelson cut a casual figure as she stepped out for a dog walk in Essex on Monday, after signing a solo record deal.

The former Little Mix songstress, 29, looked stylish in a Vivienne Westwood sweater, black joggers and trainers as she enjoyed some downtime with her mother Janice.

Jesy wrapped up in a black slogan print jacket and shielded her eyes from the sun with some edgy shades.

Jesy wore her brunette tresses in loose curls and appeared to go make-up free as she showcased her radiant complexion.

The Power hitmaker looked in good spirits as she chatted with her mother during their walk.

Jesy later took to Instagram to proclaim ‘this sunshine is giving me life today’ while flaunting her abs in a white crop-top.

Jesy paired this with a pair of camouflage-print trousers as she sported a rich palette of make-up.

The star has been focusing on new music since quitting the successful girl group in December for the sake of her mental health. 

The pictures come after the star signed a solo deal with the global management firm YMU.

Jesy has made the new career move after it was reported that she has left the girl band’s record label to launch her solo career.

In a statement from the management firm, Jesy said she was ‘so excited’ and couldn’t ‘wait to start her next chapter’. 

YMU is a management company that has clients in sport, music and entertainment, including Take That, Steve Aoki, Ant & Dec and Fearne Cotton.

In a statement seen by Music Week, Jesy said: ‘I am so excited to join YMU and can’t wait to start my next chapter.’

The artist commanded the music charts with bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards for nine years, before she left the group for the sake of her mental health. 

Jesy confirmed her permanent departure, just weeks after revealing she was taking a temporary hiatus from all work commitments.
