Married At First Sight’ Alessandra Rampolla ‘blindsided by editing and disrespectful participants’

Married At First Sight sexologist Alessandra Rampolla ‘may quit the show’ after being ‘blindsided by heavy editing and disrespectful participants’

Alessandra Rampolla has been praised for breathing new life into Married At First Sight following her debut as the show’s newest relationship expert this year.

But reports claim the Puerto Rican sexology, 46, was left unimpressed by her experiences working on the controversial show and is even considering quitting altogether.

‘Coming into this, Alessandra didn’t really have any idea about what she signed up for,’ a New Idea magazine insider alleged on Monday.

‘She didn’t understand how heavily edited the show is or that the participants hardly take the experts seriously,’ they added.

The source claimed Alessandra was ‘shocked’ by the level of ‘disrespect’ shown by several participants during filming.

‘Most of this year’s cast got the impression she won’t be rushing to sign up for another season,’ they said.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out for comment.

It comes after Alessandra blasted groom James Susler for professing his love for her during a commitment ceremony.

Although the groom, 44, insisted he was just joking, he left his bride, Joanne Todd, 40, open-mouthed with shock when he bounded across the room to give the stunning sexologist a kiss on the cheek.

The stunt went down like a lead balloon, with an offended Alessandra coldly stating, ‘it’s not a good joke.’

Fans watching at home were equally stunned – with some calling him a clown, and others saying he should be kicked off the show.

Alessandra scolded James yet again on Sunday night’s episode, this time for referring to bride Belinda Vickers as ‘frigid’.

The sexologist told James that he’d used ‘very poor choice of word’, explaining: ‘It’s so outdated, is so archaic, it’s so prejudicial.’
