Sunrise hosts are mortified by weather presenter Sam Mac’s bulge

Weatherman Sam Mac is a housewives’ favourite on Sunrise – and now we know why.

The Channel Seven funnyman revealed a lot more than he bargained for on Thursday while wearing a skintight wetsuit during a live cross.

As he chatted to a female surfer at a surf park in Tullamarine, Melbourne, it was hard to ignore his prominent bulge.

‘I’ve got to show you the back… This is zipless, which is pretty exciting!’ Sam told co-hosts Natalie Barr and David ‘Kochie’ Koch in the Sydney studio. 

‘We don’t want to see the front, that’s for sure!’ Kochie responded.

As the camera zoomed in on Sam’s wetsuit, the anchors burst out laughing.

‘I can’t watch it,’ an embarrassed Kochie said, covering his face with his script.

At one point, a producer gave Sam a sign to put over his groin, but this only caused greater amusement back at brekky central.  

‘How good is HD, guys?’ he joked, by which point the entire Sunrise team was giggling.

The segment may well be the perfect advertisement for Sam, who is believed to be single after splitting from girlfriend Elle Whittaker in August last year.

The weatherman is regarded as a rising star at Seven, and was even considered as a replacement for Andrew O’Keefe when he was dropped as host of The Chase.

This role eventually went to The Morning Show presenter Larry Emdur, however.
