NRL star Darius Boyd and his wife Kayla give their newborn daughter Gia her first bath

Darius Boyd and his wife Kayla announced the arrival of their third child, a baby girl named Gia Chele Boyd, on Tuesday.

And just days after welcoming her into the world, the former NRL star, 33, and Kayla, 32, gave their daughter her first bath.

The new mother shared an adorable photo to Instagram of Darius holding Gia while giving her a bath.

‘Those first bath moments,’ she captioned the sweet post.

The couple announced the arrival of their third child on Tuesday, sharing a series of adorable photos of her newborn wrapped in a blanket.

‘Gia Chele Boyd and just like that, an angel was born. Have been soaking up the past 32 hours with our third baby girl earth-side,’ Kayla wrote on Instagram.

‘You are everything darling girl, you are loved more than you will ever know and your two sissy’s can’t wait to meet you!’

‘It’s absolutely everything, and I mean everything that comes with having a newborn that does it for me. There really is no love, quite like this,’ she continued. 

The couple are also proud parents to five-year-old daughter Willow and one-year-old Romi Yves.

They announced the impending arrival of their third child in an Instagram post back in September last year.

The announcement came months after Kayla opened up about their desire to have a third child throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

‘We’re not trying, but we’re not doing anything to prevent it,’ she told The Courier-Mail.
