Netflix acquires gender-flipped remake He’s All That as star Addison Rae reacts and shares the news on social media
TikTok star Addison Rae’s first feature film, a gender-flipped remake of She’s All That entitled He’s All That, is making a big splash this year on Netflix.
The Netflix streaming service announced today that it has acquired the remake from Miramax, starring Rae and directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls), while revealing the first two photos with stars Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan.
The streaming service revealed it would release the film later this year, with Deadline reporting Netflix shelled out a whopping $20 million for the film.

The film takes the premise of the 1999 teen comedy classic She’s All That (loosely based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion and the 1964 classic My Fair Lady) and turns it on its ear.
The original followed a popular jock (Freddie Prinze Jr.) who takes a bet to turn an ‘unattractive’ girl (Rachel Leigh Cook) and turn her into the prom queen.

The film also stars Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob, Myra Molloy, plus original She’s All That stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard in new roles.
Mark Waters directs from a script by original She’s All That writer R. Lee Fleming Jr., with Variety reporting in December that Kourtney Kardashian will have a cameo, playing a character named Jessica Miles Torres.
Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay are producing the film, with Bill Block producing for Miramax.

Star Addison Rae shared the news with her fans, with a photo of Deadline’s headline and a brief message on Instagram.
‘DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! ♥️ 190 countries.. insane,’ Rae said on Instagram, while sharing the news on Twitter as well.

He’s All That joins Netflix’s growing slate of live action family films featuring kids and teens, which includes the upcoming film A Week Away, directed by Roman White (Summer Forever).
