Destination NSW denies Natalie Portman is being paid as an official tourism ambassador after they hosted a trip for her in the Blue Mountains
On Tuesday, Natalie Portman shared holiday snaps alongside her husband Benjamin Millepied as they explored the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Australia.
And while the images were picturesque, Daily Mail Australia can exclusively confirm that the 39-year-old Star Wars actress was not paid as an official tourism ambassador by Destination New South Wales.
Instead, the government agency officially ‘hosted’ the star and her husband.

‘Destination New South Wales hosted Natalie and her family on the trip,’ a spokesperson for the agency said in a statement.
It is believed, the pair who have been married for nine years, enjoyed the outback adventure with their two children, daughter Amalia, 4, and son Aleph, 9.
The spokesperson also confirmed that while her Thor co-star Chris Hemsworth may be an ambassador for Tourism Australia – he didn’t connect her with the company.
‘Chris Hemsworth did not have any involvement in the trip,’ the spokesperson added.

In her post, Natalie shared a sweet photo of herself and Benjamin, 43, hugging with a panorama view of the mountainous range behind them.
‘Favorite person to explore the Blue Mountains with… @visitnsw #loveNSW @wolganv,’ Natalie wrote in the caption for her roughly 7.3 million followers.
The brunette beauty wore a light blue T-shirt and beamed while wrapping her arms around her husband’s waist. Meanwhile, Benjamin wore a plain black T-shirt and tan cap as he smiled for the camera with an arm draped around Natalie.

Natalie also shared a nature shot of a rock formation with canyons in the background.

Natalie in her post tagged One&Only Wolgan Valley, a luxury conservation-based resort in New South Wales.

The Blue Mountains are a short drive from Sydney where Natalie has been filming Thor: Love And Thunder.
Natalie will reprise her role as astrophysicist Jane Foster in the sequel and her character will gain powers similar to Thor.
The film is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
