Married At First Sight’s Joanne Todd exposes husband James Suslers’ ‘controlling’ behaviour following THAT dinner party showdown

Married At First Sight’s Joanne Todd has taken a searing swipe at her ‘husband’ James Susler following their dinner party clash on Wednesday’s night’s episode.

Speaking to Thursday’s Who magazine, the single mother, 39, claimed that James, 44, had an ego problem and tried to control her during their relationship.

‘He would always choose which restaurant we would go to, he didn’t ask me where I would like to go, and if I said I’d like a steak, he’d try and suggest something else,’ she said.

‘He didn’t ask me where I would like to go’: Married At First Sight’s Joanne Todd, 39, described husband James Suslers’ ‘controlling’ behaviour during an explosive interview with Who magazine on Thursday

‘If I said ‘this is the best place to go’, he’d second guess me. He’d have to go and get a second opinion from the male concierge to see if I was right or not,’ she added.

Joanne also claimed that James drinking caused problems in the dynamic of their relationship.

‘We do have good banter – when he hasn’t had a drink – and when I agree to what he wants to do, he’s nice,’ she said.

Joanne and James traded barbs over the dinner table during Wednesday night’s explosive dinner party, after James apparently disappeared from the hotel for two weekends in a row.

‘You’re a controlling freak. in front of ******* everybody! You make yourself look good! You sit there with your smug face. You haven’t cared You’ve treated me like s**t!’ Joanne raged.

‘I’ve treated you like s**t?’ James replied sarcastically.

James then moved down the table and began openly flirting with new bride Kerry, cheekily declaring: ‘I’m single by the way!’

‘I came to this experiment to find someone that I could believe in. He doesn’t give a s**t about it,’ Joanne told producers.
