Kyle Sandilands’ crude remark to Gwen Stefani has her explaining the title of her new song

Shock jock Kyle Sandilands makes a VERY crude remark to Gwen Stefani about her new single Slow Clap

He’s known for his unfiltered remarks and forwardness when interviewing celebrities.

So when Kyle Sandilands quizzed one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry about whether the song she recently released was based on her buttocks, it was no surprise.

Speaking with Gwen Stefani about her single, Slow Clap, on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, the 49-year-old wanted to ‘clarify’ title of the song.

Too forward? Kyle Sandilands (pictured), 49, quizzed Gwen Stefani about the title of her new single during an interview on Wednesday

‘Let’s get Gwen’s song on right now,’ he said. ‘Slow Clap… It’s with your hands and not of the a** cheeks, right? I just want to clarify that – the Slow Clap.

The American singer-songwriter light-heartedly shot back that the shock jock could ‘take it anyway you want’, before going onto explain that it did not refer to either.

‘From my point of view, I was talking about somebody that felt like the underdog that got clap back to life,’ 51-year-old explained to Kyle and his 46-year-old co-host, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

‘I don’t know if you remember those old movies from the ’80s, where the one guy standing in the hallway… Like the nerd guys are getting clapped by the jock. It’s kind of that.’
