B*Witched fans thrilled as 90s girl group perform their hit C’est La Vie on This Morning

B*Witched fans were left thrilled on Wednesday as the 90s girl group performed their classic hit C’est La Vie during This Morning’s St Patrick’s Day-themed show.

Viewers tuning in were left feeling nostalgic for their younger years as the Irish pop group – Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll – reunited for a performance and interview on the ITV show. 

Taking to Twitter following the virtual performance, fans were going wild for the trip down memory lane, with one even remarking: ‘Could life get any better?!’

Twins Edele and Keavy, 41, Sinead, 47 and Lindsay, 42, joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to talk about their reunion, their success as a band and their new podcast, as well as performing the song that made them famous.

And This Morning viewers were certainly here for it, with one writing on Twitter: ‘B*witched singing C’est La Vie was mega!’

While another excitedly remarked: ‘B*witched back singing “C’est la Vie” for StPatricksDay could life get any better!’

During the interview, the girls remarked on getting back together and performing C’est La Vie (such is life in French) on St Patrick’s Day, with Sinead remarking: ‘It’s so funny, I saw something on Twitter saying its the Irish national anthem for St Patricks Day.’

Discussing their shock split and subsequent reunion, Keavy said: ‘Yeah it was, for 12 years we weren’t around each other and then we did have a reunion, it took a while for all of us to get back together, because it was like ‘aah’ we haven’t performed together in so long.’

Meanwhile, Lindsay reflected on their huge success in their heyday which saw them tour with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

She said: ‘We were catapulted to this massive success, touring the world, the states multiple times over, we seem to have packed so much in in the space of four years. 

‘We achieved so much of our dreams in such a short time but then it was over so quickly and that was a shock.’

Meanwhile, the group recently launched their own podcast, with Edele telling Holly and Phil that they were ‘very honest’ while recording it.

‘We kind of over share quite a bit’ she explained. ‘In this lockdown we struggled with not speaking to each other… between all of us we went through everything in the world, hopefully people will understand that there is light at the end of the tunnel.’

B*Witched first shot to fame in 1998 when their incredibly catchy debut track C’est La Vie soared to number one.

They then went on to have a number of hits including Rollercoaster and Blame It On The Weatherman, before eventually being dropped by their record label in 2001. 

The group, known for their love of double denim, found prominence again when they starred on reality-documentary series The Big Reunion alongside other 90s bands including 5ive, Liberty X and Damage. 

This Morning continued weekdays from 10am on ITV.
