Joe Swash treats Stacey Solomon to breakfast in bed as a Mother’s Day surprise

‘Happy Mummas Day to my darling fiancée’: Joe Swash treats Stacey Solomon to breakfast in bed and secretly switches off her alarm to give the busy mum a relaxing morning

They frequently shower their children with love and affection.

But Joe Swash, 39, decided fiancée Stacey Solomon, 31, deserved a relaxing morning with breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day on Sunday.

The TV personality stole the mother-of-three’s phone to switch off her early alarm and take over her Instagram to say: ‘Happy Mummas Day to my darling fiancé.’

Surprise! Joe Swash decided his doting co-parent, Stacey Solomon, deserved a relaxing morning with breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day on Sunday

‘Next Mother’s Day you’ll be my WIFEEEEEE,’ gushed Joe as he handed Stacey a plate of heart-shaped eggs, toast, bacon, avocado and spaghetti hoops.

The couple got engaged in December 2020 and are now planning a summer wedding, COVID restrictions permitting.

To successfully accomplish the cute surprise, Joe had been forced to steal his early bird fiancé’s phone to turn off her alarm.

He told Stacey’s followers: ‘For some reason she likes to set it for stupid o’clock so she wakes up before everyone in the house,

‘Not today. Going to grab the boy [Rex] and try to leave her here as long as I can,’ he said alongside a photo of the Loose Women panelist in bed fast asleep with her dog and their 1-year-old son.

Joe then headed straight to the kitchen to cook Stacey a cute Mother’s Day meal.

He wrote: ‘Now me and Rex are making her some breakfast for when she gets up …Rex way of helping is just eating it all [sic].’

The 1-year-old relaxed in his high chair and happily chowed down on a piece of white bread while his dad attempted to cook eggs inside a heart-shaped stencil.

And Joe discovered Stacey’s high energy morning routine wasn’t as easy as it looked.

‘Not gonna lie. Don’t know how she does everything with one bl**dy hand it’s a nightmare,’ he captioned a photo of the chaotic kitchen as he tried to vlog with one hand and crack an egg with the other.

Stacey looked overjoyed at her husband-to-be’s efforts as she inspected the food while sat on the sofa with her sons snuggled-up around her.

But the former X-factor contestant admitted she’d initially been nervous about what Joe was up to.

She told her fans on Instagram: ‘I’ll be honest I was scared to look at my stories this morning when I got my phone back,

‘But turns out it was the cutest thing ever. Love him… The eggs were delicious.

‘I know Mother’s Day isn’t an easy day for so many. So, to those struggling and wishing it would be over, sending you all the love and strength today. Thinking of you always,’ Stacey wrote.

The celebration comes after Stacey told hilarious story of how she accidentally forgot to pick her sons up from school this week.

She explained: ‘I was just having it up in the garden with Rex thinking, “I wonder when them boys will finish their homeschooling and come out here?”

‘And then the school rang, and I was like, “Oh sugar!” Well at least I didn’t forget to bring them in. One out of two’s not bad.’
