At the start of the video, Geri says she is visiting her mother and takes with her a large bouquet of flowers, as well as her mum’s ‘favourite’ olives.

Getting into her vintage red MG sportscar in a signature all-white ensemble, the star sweetly declares: ‘I’m going to see one of my favourite people in the world!’

After greeting each other with hugs, Geri and Ana Maria go through childhood photo albums where the singer reflects on her career with the Spice Girls.

The group shot to fame in 1996 and became the best selling girl group of all time with nine number one singles. They split up in 2000, after Geri (Ginger Spice) decided to leave in 1998, but have briefly reunited over the years.

Talking about the importance of her vintage sportscar, which she first bought after the success of the Spice Girls’ 1996 hit Wannabe, Geri admits: ‘When I left the Spice Girls, I wanted a restart so I sold all my clothes, my Spice Girls clothes and this car.

‘I always had this regret, when I was a little girl, our first family photo I am holding a little red car. I always wanted a little red car.’

Geri then reveals that her husband Christian, who she married in 2015, surprised her by rebuying the motor for one of her birthdays.

She continues: ’20 years later, I got married to quite a nice guy and I told how much I miss this car. The nice husband I have, surprised me on my birthday and bought my car back. This means a lot to me this car!’

Talking about her decision to leave the Spice Girls further at the time, Geri adds: ‘When I left the Spice Girls, it was just a time that I really felt that chapter was over at that time. I knew I needed to let it go in that moment, which was quite sad.

‘Then it came back and so has this car! Nothing lasts forever, nothing does, I always want to appreciate everything for what it is.

‘Everything has its moments, you have to recognise, you have to sometimes let things go. It takes courage to let things go, doesn’t it?’

Geri sweetly adds that she picked up her mother in the vintage red sports car after the success of 1996 hit Wannabe.
