Married At First Sight couple’s ‘fake’ affair exposed by former star

Former Married At First Sight star claims Coco Stedman and Cameron Dunne’s affair is completely FAKE and manipulated by producers

A budding affair between Married At First Sight’s Coco Stedman and Cameron Dunne has been branded ‘fake’ by a former participant of the show.

Sean Thomsen, 36, who appeared on season five, branded an upcoming scene of the pair kissing ‘pure producer manipulation’ in a scathing Instagram post on Friday.

He shared a dramatic trailer for Sunday’s commitment ceremony episode, along with a play-by-play of a similar experience he had during his time on the show in 2018.

Are they for real? A budding affair between Married At First Sight’s Coco Stedman and Cameron Dunne has been branded ‘fake’ by a former participant of the show

‘Pure producer manipulation. You will see all the strings pulled in this commitment ceremony, with contestants battling their own morality,’ he captioned the post.

‘Also the sacrificial lamb. One couple must go no matter what. I highlight this in chapter 6 of my book swipe across to see more.’

In the play-by-play from the sixth chapter of his book, Married Lies: The Secrets Behind Reality TV, Sean detailed wanting to leave the show in 2018 – but not being able to because his on-screen ‘wife’ Blair Rachael kept writing ‘stay’ at the commitment ceremonies.

‘She had left her job to join the show and she probably still had hopes that she’d get airtime and a storyline before it was done,’ he wrote.

‘I knew the main executive producer, Tara, was done with us and had no intention of giving us any airtime. But Blair wanted to stay, and that, technically, meant we both had to.

‘Producers were trying to figure out how to spin this in our storyline. Instructions came from Tara; I was supposed to go back on… and say I was in love with Blair.

‘I told them, “I’m not going to say that. I’m not going to say I’m in love when I’m not”.’

Sean went onto explain there was nothing real about the commitment ceremony.

‘Every time I thought I understood how fake everything was on that show, they found a new way to  surprise me,’ he said.

‘The participants have no input whatsoever. Every decision, every development is dictated by these manipulative producers, drunk on the power of shaping public opinion.’

Sean’s comments follow a steamy new Married At First Sight trailer showing Coco, 30, and Cameron, 32, taking their relationship to a whole new level next week.

Cameron was seen making the first move as he pulled Coco towards him on the sofa – before the duo enjoyed a sensual open-mouthed smooch with extra tongue.

The move clearly did not go down to well with Cameron’s ‘wife’ Samantha Harvey, who, despite giving her blessing to their new relationship, hasn’t appeared too happy with the outcome of the experiment.

Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
