Alexandra Burke and Vick Hope are top picks to join next series of Celebs Go Dating

Celebs Go Dating’s Anna Williamson has name-dropped her top two favourite celebrities to take part in the next series of the dating show.

The presenter, 39, revealed she would like to see singer Alexandra Burke and BBC presenter Vick Hope join the agency next season to help them find love.

Both women are currently single after Alexandra, 32, split from her footballer beau Angus MacDonald last year and Vick, 31, ended a four-year relationship with actor Tom Rosenthal in 2018.

In an interview with The Sun Online, Anna disclosed that as one of the dating agents on the show, she can have input on which celebrities are chosen for the show.

She said: ‘A friend I want to try and persuade to join is Alexandra Burke. I would love her to join.

‘And I recently went on Radio 1 and I didn’t realise that Vick Hope was, in her own words, “Having a dating nightmare”.

‘I don’t think there is anyone more beautiful than that girl, so I would love to get her on.’

A spokesman for Alexandra said: ‘At the present time Alexandra is not in any talks to appear on Celebs Go Dating.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Vick Hope for comment.

It was revealed in October that Alexandra had split from her footballer boyfriend Angus MacDonald, 28, after 15 months of dating.

The West End star deleted all trace of the Hull City defender, 28, from Instagram, including pictures of the pair enjoying birthdays and holidays together.

An insider confirmed to MailOnline that Alexandra and Angus had ‘amicably split’ and ‘remain good friends’ despite having gone their separate ways blaming the break-up on difficulty seeing each other during lockdown.

Alexandra went official with Angus in July 2019 in a now-deleted black and white post that was taken during a romantic meal.

The X Factor winner dated the sportsman following the breakdown of her engagement to Josh Ginnelly, who she split from just weeks earlier.

And radio presenter Vick is reported to have previously enjoyed a string of low-key dates with boxing champ Anthony Joshua, 31, after denying a romance back in December 2018.

According to The Sun, they were unable to make things work at the time, due to their busy schedules.

She was previously in a long-term relationship with Plebs actor Tom Rosenthal, 33, but the pair split before she took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

Vicky confirmed her dating status to MailOnline during Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in December 2018, saying: ‘I am so single. The guys [Roman Kemp] are bored of hearing about how single I am.’

Last season’s Celebs Go Dating followed a round of stars attempt to find love with single ‘civilians’ by moving into a lavish £30 million mansion, guided by Anna and fellow dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson.

The series successfully saw Made In Chelsea star Sophie Hermann find love with DJ Tom Zanetti.

Rounding out the cast were Wayne Lineker, Chloe Ferry, Curtis Pritchard, Strictly Come Dancing star Karim Zeroual and Coronation Street’s Kimberley Hart-Simpson.
