Rappers are caught having driven 130 miles from London to Derby to film Youtube music video during lockdown – before police learn one is wanted for conning 90-year-old out of £10,000

Police have slapped a group with Covid fines after they were caught driving nearly 130 miles ‘to film a rap video for YouTube’.

Officers then realised one of the suspects was a fugitive wanted over conning a 90-year-old out of £10,000.

Cops stopped the blue VW Golf on a roundabout and the men told them they were shooting a rap video.

A roads policing unit says the driver was wanted for questioning in relation to the unnamed pensioner being scammed.

A man has been arrested and passengers were slapped with Covid restriction penalty tickets off the A6 south of Derby, on Tuesday.

Government lockdown guidance says people should stay at home if they can and stay local, there are a limited number of expectations for leaving ones area – which exclude filming ametaur rap videos.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: ‘Visitors in this car from London to “film a rap video for YouTube”.
