Billie Faiers predicts she will have a third child before renovations on her new home are complete

Billie Faiers predicts she and Greg Shepherd will have a third child before renovations are complete on their ‘nightmare’ £1.4 million home.

The Mummy Diaries star, 31, told MailOnline she wants another baby ‘next year’ and hopes the family will have welcomed their new addition by the time they move into their newly refurbished Essex mansion.

In an exclusive interview, Billie, who’s already a mum to Nelly, six, and Arthur, four, said the space their new house provides makes the possibility of having another baby more likely – and the children are also pushing for them to get a dog.

‘It’s not out the question’: Billie Faiers predicts she and Greg Shepherd will have a third child before renovations are complete on their ‘nightmare’ £1.4 million home

She said: ‘I always do say I definitely would consider having more, especially with moving into the new house. I said to Greg “maybe next year” and Nelly is desperate for a dog as well.

‘We’re going to move into this new house with a dog and another baby! I always say it’s not out the question, I’m not saying I wouldn’t want anymore. I suppose we’re seeing what happens.’

Billie admits the housing project she and husband Greg, 35, are facing is ‘huge’ and will ‘take time’ – though she didn’t foresee just how long when they purchased the property 15 months ago.

In last week’s episode of The Mummy Diaries, she even referred to the ongoing renovations as a ‘nightmare.’

At first, the Essex couple was refused planning permission amid a row with their neighbours who claimed the works were ‘excessive’ but after reconfiguring the plans, building finally started on their ‘dream home’ last week.

Billie said: ‘We’re so excited. Last week the demolition started, we’re not knocking down the full house but parts of it to build our extension on.

‘It’s been a long time, we’ve had the house now for 15 months and I’m just so excited we’re finally able to see things happen.

‘It’s a huge project and it’s going to take time. I hope it’s all worth it!

‘It’s just the beginning part, I never realised how long it could take from buying a house, to getting planning permission, then finding your builders, all those things, it takes so much time.

‘Obviously we’re also in a middle of this pandemic so that’s not helped a lot either but the good thing is we’re finally moving forward with it.’

The former TOWIE star longs for the day she moves into the build with her young family and can finally start adding her personal touches to the house, and especially daughter Nelly’s room.

'Nelly was like 'oh mummy'': The reality star says she needed to explain to Nelly that the house will be refurbished before they move in, after her daughter was concerned by its interiors

She continued: ‘It was the boring bit! Greg has been in charge of the exterior lets say and he’s going to work on the landscaping, the garden but I’m just like “give me some empty rooms” like all the fun bit and the interiors.

‘The children do understand, they’re really, really excited and we’ve kept them in the loop with this the whole time.

‘I know they’re only young but it’s so nice they get to see the house and Arthur is obsessed because he loves anything to do with diggers and machines.

‘Greg is actually taking him there this afternoon to see what’s going on and Arthur keeps saying “daddy, can you take me to the new house?” he just loves it.

‘The house is really old and when we first showed them, Nelly was like “oh mummy” she was thinking we were moving into it as it was. And I said “no, we’re going to make it look nice!” then she sort of understood.

‘She sometimes goes on Pinterest and looks for some inspo for her bedroom.’

Billie was forced to quit Dancing on Ice this year after she suffered a head injury and medics advised she didn’t continue in the competition.

She lost her place on the show after taking a break for a week following the sad passing of her beloved Nanny Wendy.

Reflecting on pulling out of the ITV show, Billie said: ‘It was really upsetting at the time. It took me a good couple of weeks to come to terms with it. I felt sad and upset.

‘I was so gutted and more so for my dance partner Mark, I was so gutted and sad for him as well as myself.

‘Although it was a decision that was totally taken out of our hands, I just couldn’t help but feel gutted for him because he’d put so much time and effort into teaching me how to skate and it was just a real shame.

‘That week leading up to it we had trained so hard for that routine, I really put the hours in because I wanted to do my best because I had missed the week before but it was such a shame, a real shame.’

‘It was really upsetting’: Billie was forced to quit Dancing on Ice this year after she suffered a head injury and medics advised she didn’t continue in the competition

Billie isn’t the only contestant to have quit Dancing on Ice this series after Rufus Houn, 42, and Joe-Warren Plant, 18, tested positive for coronavirus, Jason Donovan, 52, suffered a back injury and Denise Van Outen, 46, dislocated her shoulder.

But Billie, who will skate again with partner Mark Hanretty, 35, for the show’s big finale this Sunday, believes this year’s casualties won’t put off future stars of the show from competing.

She said: ‘I haven’t skated since that time but I’m going back skating on Friday with Mark because I’m doing the finale, which I’m really excited about. I feel like it’s going to end on more of a high for me than before.

‘It seems like there has been more people having to pull out this year… but people will always still be up for it.

‘I know what happened with my injury and me and it was pretty scary but I’m not scared to get back on the ice, these things happen and it was a sheer accident. You’ve just got to get back on the ice.

‘I think people next year won’t be put off, I think they’ll still love to do it because of all the glam side to it and learning a new skill, you’re getting fit, you make friends, the pros definitely outweigh the cons.’
