JLS have signed a new record deal, eight years after their split.

The boyband – Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold – have also revealed they’ve already got several singles lined up for fans in 2021.

Speaking about their exciting comeback plans in an interview with The Sun, Marvin explained that after their reunion tour was postponed amid the pandemic the band were able to get ‘writing and recording’.

Marvin, 35, explained how things have changed in the last year, saying: ‘At first we said this was going to be a reunion tour for fun, but this has given us time to pull things together and we’ve been writing and recording. We’re very excited.

‘We have got three, possibly four, tracks already down. In our opinion they are very good and when BMG heard those records and offered us a deal, we couldn’t refuse.’

Bandmate Oritsé, 34,  added: ‘We’ve signed to BMG and when that flame was reignited for making new music, nothing could stop it.’

Marvin also revealed that they’ve already been working with producers, including Wayne Hector who co-wrote their previous hits Beat Again and Everybody In Love.

And although having a few tracks ready to go, the boyband said they’re hoping to keep on writing and have their eyes on working with Ed Sheeran in the future.

Elsewhere, JB, 34, revealed their families are now their best helpers and biggest critics when it comes to new music, with the dad-two joking that his children can spot a good tune.

He told the publication that his son Ace makes it ‘very well known’ when he’s not so keen on a song and equally shows his enjoyment when JB gets it right.

MailOnline has contacted the band members representatives for further comment.

‘And we’re very excited to be on The One Show this Friday, for a very exclusive performance of some of our hits. Looking forward to chatting to you then, and seeing you and our fans on Friday.’
