Speaking on Loose Women on Monday, Storm said: ‘I went from being an independent career woman with my own life in Australia to being all of a sudden, Ronan Keating’s girlfriend.

‘That was probably the biggest challenge for me, I had really to process that and wrestle with that. Leaving my career which my identity was based on, possibly many women can relate to this.

‘It’s not just about moving countries. Changing my whole life to support a family, for many women we have to do that at some point.’

She also said: ‘I found the first few years challenging. I left Australia, my support group, my family, to set up this life in the UK with the man I love. It was a real learning curve.

They tied the knot in a romantic Scottish ceremony in 2015 before announcing in December 2016 that they were expecting their first child.

Ronan shares three other children with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly: daughters Missy, 19, and Ali, 15, and son Jack, 21.

When asked what it’s like being a step-mother, Storm responded on Loose Women: ‘I don’t think it’s every easy.

‘I think there’s a lot of complexities no one’s ever prepared for. It’s not something you think you’ll fall into.

‘I feel blessed and grateful I’ve had a great road but I wouldn’t want to diminish the challenges any other step parent have had.’
