‘There has been a secret text message going around among all we actors,’ she said. ‘Katie Holmes and I have talked about it extensively. James Van Der Beek and I have talked about it.’

Humes played Dawson’s mom and local Capeside news anchor Gail Leery in the hit primetime teen soap.

‘I actually wrote like, 190 pages of an idea for a crossover to a reboot,’ she later revealed. ‘Whether it goes anywhere, I don’t know. But there’s certainly a lot of buzz about it.’

‘As far as I know — personal information from the kids — there’s a strong possibility,’ Humes added. ‘I’d like to keep that hope alive for everybody, because the fans are clamoring for it and they want to live a simpler life like we had back in 1998.’

Dawson’s Creek aired for six seasons from 1998-2003 and starred Katie Holmes as Joey Potter, James Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery, Joshua Jackson as Pacey Witter and Michelle Williams as Jen Lindley.

The juggernaut put the then-unknown actors on the map and set Holmes and Williams up to become mega A-listers.
